We were cruising around causing havoc the 3 of us together was like a tornado hit the building haha. Jay and Christian were a big influence on me with skateboarding and just living life. What I loved about them is the way they were they just didn’t give a shit about what was cool or not! They lived life the way they wanted they were straight maniacs on a skateboard or surfboard. They just attacked whatever was in their way. Like it was the last time they were gonna skate or surf againjust fucking RIPRIDE!! I remember running around with Jay causing a ruckus everywhere we went. Jay had so much rad energy it was contagious for sure. Had so much fun skating with him Jay had the raddest style his frontside grinds were so sick he was so aggressive smashing the coping and surfing he was the same. He would charge the biggest waves. Then you had Christian he rips skateboarding. I was lucky enough and skated with him he was doing gnarly smith grinds blasting airs I’ll never forget it and surfing holy shit way ahead of his time. I remember @jasonjessee and Christian picked me up at my house in SC to go watch him surf in this air contest. It was pretty funny we got there late of course the contest already started he didn’t even bother to paddle out and catch some waves before his heat started everyone in his heat was out there practicing already when his heat started a few dudes went then it was his turn they were calling his name so we went looking for him we found him on the cliff just kicking it eating a snickers and smoking a cigarette we told him it’s your heat your turn he’s like I don’t care gotta finish my smoke first haha. He finally paddles out and was going nuts blasting big stalefishes alley oop Indy airs he was skating on his surfboard it was crazy! I think he won. So I’m very thankful for individuals like Jay and Christian who showed us all that you don’t have to follow rules,rules are meant to be broken!! Live Fast...
